When the definitive history of the Christchurch earthquakes is written, Christchurch Art Gallery will have certainly earned a place in it as one of the city’s most sustaining institutions. That despite the gallery being closed to its public since February last year. When the gallery was hit by the second and major quake, it was on a wave.
