We don’t mean to panic anyone, but did you realise there are fewer than 250 shopping days until Christmas? Once upon a time, the number of shopping days left would have been significantly lower, but thanks to a nifty thing called the internet, retail therapy is now available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Many retailers didn’t exactly welcome weekend trading when it was reintroduced to New Zealand more than 30 years ago. And once again, it seems, they are struggling to adapt to change. Plans by Trade Me to begin listing foreign brands in time for Christmas have prompted the Retailers ...
