KNOWLEDGE OPPORTUNITIES As a pensioner who was never given the opportunity to go to university because of our family situation, I was interested in “Whole lotta learnin’ ’’ (October 20). Since retiring, I have completed some papers with NorthTec, and a Diploma in Creative Writing with Whitireia. In each case I was given constructive feedback and collegial support. Knowledge was added to my writing passion, and this year I was shortlisted for the Storylines Joy Cowley Award. ...
