If John Key “genuinely wants to leave New Zealand in much better shape” than he found it, he had better rethink a number of policies he is holding fast to and start undoing a lot of cuts already made in health and education (“The hard sell”, June 23). I believe he will leave New Zealand in much better shape for the “haves”, but in much worse shape for everyone else. A tier of society, including the large corporates, is definitely better off, with those in it happy to live in their positions ...
