The best news headline I’ve seen in many years has to be the recent one in the online edition of British newspaper the Independent: “Man high on ‘bath salts’ attacked elderly woman with shovel and claimed he was an alien talking to Jesus”. They don’t come much better than that. Apparently, Californian police had to use 40mm rubber bullets and Tasers to arrest 20-year-old Robert William White, who had been drinking bath salts and soda and started clobbering a nearby 77-year-woman with a shovel. “He seemed completely out of sorts,” Northwest Glendale Police Lieutenant Bruce ...
