It’s freely acknowledged that I have the fashion sense of a blind warthog, but even I had to agree with the Dominion Post recently when it concluded Wellingtonians seem to have an aversion to any colour other than black. Actually, now I mention it, there is some debate as to whether black is a colour, but let’s not complicate matters. Wellington women in particular seem drawn to 50 shades of black, to the extent that Lambton Quay pedestrians can sometimes resemble a long procession of Greek widows.
