You can never get it back. The time spent trying to get the Sky Olympics mosaic to work. The hours spent watching horses prance at a snail’s pace, as if slowly stomping to death an army of … well, snails. The time spent watching some of the world’s elite athletes sob. For a while we had more gold medals than the Australians, which was nice. And no event as big as the Olympics is without its priceless moments of weirdness and wonder.
