I was impressed this morning by the artful alteration to the above sign, which points to the harbour bridge from Jervois Road in Auckland’s posh Herne Bay.

Is it a clever bit of street promotion for an upcoming reality TV show? You know, the one which “will reveal the private lives of a mother and daughter who are in the public eye and will follow them while they renovate their Herne Bay house”.

Or is it simply to help remind the house’s residents how to get home?

Either way, in honour of the city’s most celebritorious family, we should all start calling it the Auckland Harbour Ridge.
