Nicky Hager

Nicky Hager has a habit of publishing books that shake up politics. The acclaimed investigative journalist’s back catalogue includes Seeds of Distrust, The story of a GE coverup and The Hollow Men, a study in the politics of deception.

And on Wednesday afternoon in Wellington he is launching a new work. In an effort, presumably, to avoid any injunctive derailment, the name and subject of the book will remain a mystery until the launch event.

Will it be a return to the subject of surveillance, possibly even with fresh material from whistleblower Edward Snowden? Something on the TPP trade deal? Or could it be about community choirs?

Twitter abhors a vacuum, of course, and a range of predictions for the title of the book have been proffered, with the hashtag #NickyHagerBookTitles taking hold yesterday.

Here’s a selection – read the rest here.
