To play What Links?™, simply say out loud What Links?™ the one thing with the other thing. The answer will have something to do with something that was in the news this week. Or week and a bit, if you want to split hairs. Let’s play, shall we?

1. What links Iran to ACDC?

2. What links Kermit the Frog to gay marriage?

3. What links teddy bears with Belarus?

4. What links Google with the Australian Sex Party?

1. According to reports this week, a worm virus may be causing bursts of ACDC’s “Thunderstruck” to emerge from computers at Iranian nuclear facilities.

2. The Jim Henson Company announced it would no longer partner with Chick-Fil-A after the fast-food company’s president made statements opposing gay marriage. By some wild coincidence, Chick-Fil-A stores announced a recall of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Puppet kids’ meal toys owing to, you know, safety issues.

3. A Minsk resident was detained for posting pictures online of teddy bears dropped by a plane hired by a Swedish PR firm who arranged the operation to protest against free speech restrictions in Belarus.

4. The Australian Sex Party, which promotes the decriminalisation of prostitution, has threatened Google with legal action after the site blocked its adverts

5. It’s the number of women to whom the former Italian prime minister is currently paying a monthly allowance, according to Antonio Martino, his former defence and foreign minister.
