nz_passportThe New Zealand passport is more useful than most when it comes to travelling the world, but it is not the strongest.

The most powerful, featured in an infographic for the website Good.is, are Finland, Sweden and the UK’s.

Each will get its holder into 173 countries without organising a visa in advance.

Next on the list, all on 172, are Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg and the US.

New Zealand is at 18th, equal with Austria and Switzerland, but – a bragging rights essential – one place above Australia.

The least powerful passports, meanwhile, are those of Pakistan and Somalia, which will gain entry to 32 countries, Iraq on 31, and Afghanistan on 28.
