Last night’s 6pm 3 News bulletin promoted list MP and Labour ACC spokesman Andrew Little to a loftier post.
In an item about another ACC board resignation, Little was described as “Labour leader”.
“Goodness. That’s a scoop. Has anyone told Shearer? And Cunliffe?” jested John Campbell on Twitter.
Jane Clifton replied, “More to the point, has anyone told Andrew?”
Campbell: “I suspect not. But my guess is he’s felt a certain inevitability about it for quite some time.”
A former Labour party president, Little has been tipped before as a future party leader, though his chances wouldn’t have been helped by failure to win in New Plymouth last year.
