Tan Dun

To mark the Year of the Snake and the Chinese New Year, Academy Award-winning composer Tan Dun conducts the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra in a performance of his Martial Arts Trilogy. In this multi-media event dedicated to Hollywood grandeur, scenes from three classic martial arts films, The Banquet, Hero and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon will be projected above the orchestra as they celebrate his spectacular scores, as well as the awe-inspiring martial arts that make these films so powerful.

The Listener has a double pass to give away to the Wellington show on February 14, 7.30pm, at the Michael Fowler Centre, and the Auckland show on February 15, 7.30pm, at the Civic Theatre.
