Whereas Danny Boyle’s production of Frankenstein for National Theatre Live demonstrated thrillingly the bold kineticism possible from the convergence of theatre and film, another play from the same season opted for the more conventional filmed production look, shooting from the auditorium and eschewing fancy moves and angles.
