Disaster plan seen as key to Auckland’s future  Eastern Courier, 29/7/11

On rare occasions it has been reported that the change in air pressure has been sufficient to blow the water seal from the toilet pans. Although this is an extremely rare occurrence, we nevertheless suggest that while your toilet is not in use during the next seven days, you cover the toilet pan with an old towel, leave the seat and lid down, and preferably place a heavy object like a pot plant on top of the seat. This simple precaution will minimize any problems in the unlikely event of this occurring. Leaflet mailed to Takaka town residents, April 2011
