The Stockholm headquarters of the world’s fastest-growing online music-streaming service are not what you’d expect. Spotify has no skateboard-riding computer nerds giving high-fives and blasting a cutting-edge soundtrack as they chug energy drinks, no rowdy office banter around the coffee machine. It must be a Swedish thing: no music is audible as the under-35s stare at computer screens on tidy desks, and if it weren’t for a few photos of musicians on the walls, these offices could easily pass for an insurance company on a casual Friday.
