She’s not reviewing it, because we reviewed the Auckland Theatre Company production last year, but our Wellington theatre reviewer Elspeth Sandys says of Circa Theatre’s new production of August: Osage County (on until May 7): “If you can manage it, do go and see – it’s the best theatre I’ve seen in years. A stunning play and the acting is uniformly excellent.” Elspeth, as those who have been reviewed by her can testify, is no easy sell, so you’d do well to take note.

A brilliant and autobiographical borrow from Eugene O'Neill's 'Long Day's Journey Into Night'. Do all playwrights have such bloody awful lives? The Wellington production is superb, the acting breathtaking.
