If you’re not already on board the Breakers bandwagon, you had better get a wriggle on because it’s filling up fast. Along with back-to-back ANBL championships, they’ve picked up two other accolades: the hottest ticket in town and the only thing stopping Auckland from being officially declared a sporting black hole. Not that they had to overcome fierce competition to become Auckland’s favourite team, given the state of professional sport in our biggest city.
