If you’re not already on board the Breakers bandwagon, you had better get a wriggle on because it’s filling up fast. Along with back-to-back ANBL championships, they’ve picked up two other accolades: the hottest ticket in town and the only thing stopping Auckland from being officially declared a sporting black hole. Not that they had to overcome fierce competition to become Auckland’s favourite team, given the state of professional sport in our biggest city. The Blues continue to confound expectations: just when you thought things couldn’t get worse, they plumb new depths of awfulness. ...
