A white Russian and black Briton are beating each other to a pulp in a world heavyweight championship fight at Wembley Stadium. The Russian lands a low blow; the Briton sinks to his knees, muttering, “F---ing white c---.” A lip reader watching the bout on TV immediately phones Scotland Yard to lay a complaint. As the British boxer is stretchered to a waiting ambulance, he is arrested and charged with racial abuse.
