For the walking dead, they appeared to be in rosy health. The Australian executives from Research In Motion (RIM) came to Auckland last week to try to convince journalists it was business as usual at the maker of the BlackBerry, once the world’s most popular smartphone. They introduced us to the likes of Winscribe and Kinross, innovative New Zealand software makers developing apps for the BlackBerry, and talked about “winning the hearts and minds” of people in businesses who want “realtime information” delivered to their smartphones.
