I love having friends and family around for a meal and creating an atmosphere that makes everyone smile. It doesn't matter whether it's a simple meal or something more complicated; people will always appreciate it when you cook with passion. When I think back to what my mother and grandmother used to cook, I realize their choices were probably easier because of the smaller range of ingredients available to them.
