Breast density is back in the headlines, with New York recently being the fourth American state to require radiologists to tell women whether they have dense breast tissue, along with their mammogram results. Similar bills are being considered in 12 other states. So, should New Zealand follow the American lead, and if we do, what should women do with that information? Breasts are made up of fatty tissue and connective tissue, and how much of each depends on the individual.
