Tom Walsh played cricket and rugby as a kid but loved the individual nature of shot put and decided to stick with it from age 16. And it’s as well he did, as he won the shot put gold at the 2016 World Indoor Championships and is now a hot medal hope for the upcoming Rio Olympics.
