Question: We seem to be eating more onions these days, possibly because there are a lot of casseroles, curries and similar “cooktop” dishes in our diets – that and the fact they’re cheaper than potatoes. A 10kg bag of onions is $9.50 in the supermarket, but we buy potatoes individually. What are the benefits, or otherwise, of onions, especially eaten in healthy quantities?
