Organic food contains no more nutrients than conventionally grown food, according to a recent US study. So, why do people pay a premium for organic food? “In terms of the perceived health benefits of organic foods, the majority of people who eat organic food are driven by risk-aversion, not nutritional superiority,” says Liza Oates from RMIT University in Melbourne.
