It’s late and a hip young crowd has turned out for tonight’s screening of 1979 gangster-kitsch flick The Warriors, which is being projected onto a large outdoor screen from a small truck. We’re at a slightly upmarket Texan campground called El Cosmico. Young arty folk and chilled-out travellers are sitting on blankets, deckchairs or the scrubby desert ground, drinking beer from tall cans and quoting the cult film’s most memorable lines.
