NZ election 2011: the opening addresses

Watch the opening addresses from National, Labour, the Greens and Act. Go on.

National went with a question-and-answer format. Labour’s effort was more ambitious, looking to draw a narrative link with the party’s heritage.

Labour have a lot of ground to make up, but their broadcast was a clear winner over National’s tonight.

The Greens were solid, but a bit too, you know, nice.

UPDATE, Saturday at 9.30ish: Act is there now, too – can’t find the rest of the Saturday Night hodgepodge for the time being, but they are on the TVNZ site.
